Proud@TheStar, our employee network group, aims to create a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQI+ employees and guests, promoting an environment where everyone can be their authentic selves and thrive.
At The Star, we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This involves fostering a welcoming space for our LGBTQI+ team members and guests and celebrating the achievements of our diverse communities.
We recognise the unique challenges faced by our transgender and gender-diverse individuals, and our policies are continuously evolving to be truly inclusive, ensuring everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.
MEASURABLE OBJECTIVES
The Star Entertainment Group is extremely proud to have been recognised as the 2024 Employer of the Year and Finalist for the 2024 Trans and Gender-Diverse Inclusion Award at the recent 2024 Australian LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards. We are honoured to receive our second Gold Employer recognition and humbled to be the first and only organisation recognised as a Gold Employer in Hospitality.

MEASURABLE OBJECTIVES
45% female and 45% male representation of leaders (Levels 1 - 4) by 2025 (with the remaining 10% being of any gender or gender diverse) by 2028.

Reconciliation@TheStar aims to build a safe, inclusive, and welcoming workplace for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Team Members. We are committed to promoting cultural awareness and inclusion by recognising days of significance and engaging in continuous listening and learning from our First Nation’s Team Members.

The Star Entertainment Group’s vision for reconciliation is an Australia that is fair and inclusive and celebrates Australia’s First Nations people and culture.
We recognise the importance of working in respectful partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and businesses to create sustainable and collaborative opportunities for a reconciled Australia.
Initiatives Include
Participation in the First Nations Employment Index 2022 and upcoming 2024.
Partnership with the National Indigenous Culinary Institute (NICI) to help create highly skilled Indigenous chefs by providing apprentices with appropriate training and mentorship.
Team activities and communications to support National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC week.
